A little about me.
I feel passionately about the benefits of therapy as I have personally found it immensely valuable in helping me make choices in life and to work through difficult issues that have affected me.
I graduated with a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also trained and experienced in working with trauma.
I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which means i am an experienced, competent and ethical practitioner.
In addition to my private practice, I have also worked as a therapist for a number of charities, the NHS, an employee assistance programme and private health company. I therefore have experience of working with a range of different clients with various presenting issues. I currently work at a trauma charity, alongside running my private practice.
I work from a centrally located therapy room, a short walk from the Brighton/Hove border. There is a bus stop a 2 minute walk away with various buses stopping, on street parking is available.
I offer both longer term and short term therapy to individuals experiencing a wide range of issues. My experience and interests cover the following areas:
• Depression and Anxiety
• Loss and Bereavement
• Surviving Abuse
• Trauma
• Ethnicity, race and culture
• Gender related issues
• Relationship difficulties
• Life Changes
If you are struggling with an issue not on the above list or something which feels more complex, I am still able to process things with you.
As an Accredited member of BACP, I am also able to offer therapy to students that are training to be therapists
